Important

Both Base Coat and Gel Polish leave a sticky surface (sticky layer). This layer is necessary for the following products to adhere properly to the nail and should therefore not be removed.

STEP BY STEP

The seven steps in detail

Prep
00

Prep

Required

Before applying your Gel Polish, it is essential to thoroughly prepare (prep) your nails.

This includes pushing back the cuticles and buffing the nail plate, which is key to achieving beautiful, long-lasting results.

PH Bond
01

PH Bond

Optional

Our PH bond is designed for anyone with particularly oily nails. This product dehydrates the nail and removes excess natural oils. We recommend applying our PH bond in a thin layer to the nail plate, avoiding contact with the skin. After application, let it air-dry for 60 seconds.

Layer thickness
Thin layer on the nail plate
Time
Air-dries in 60 seconds
Skin Contact
Avoid skin contact
Please note

However, it’s important to note that our PH bond is not essential for long-lasting results, but can be used alongside our cleanser, which also dehydrates the nail.

Primer
02

Primer

Optional

Our primer is used to create a bonding layer before applying base coat. This helps the products adhere better to your nails and extends wear time.

Apply the primer in a thin layer across the entire nail plate, avoiding contact with the skin, and allow it to air dry for 60 seconds. Most people do not need to use primer, but for some, it can help improve wear time.

Base Coat
03

Base Coat

Required

Basecoat should be applied in a thin, even layer to the nail plate to protect the nails from discoloration and create a base for the products that follow.

Basecoat is essential for long-lasting results and should be cured in a UV/LED lamp for 60 seconds. When applying Basecoat, place a small amount of product in the center of the nail and gently push it back towards the cuticle without coming into contact with the skin. This will prevent excess product from the brush from sliding down into the cuticle area and touching the skin.

Time

Technique
Apply a small amount of product to the center of the nail, then slowly push it back toward the cuticle
Important

Please note that our base coat leaves a tacky surface (sticky layer). This is necessary for the following products to adhere to the nail and should therefore not be removed.

Gel Polish
04

Gel Polish

Required · 2–3 coats

Before applying the color coat, roll the bottle between your hands to mix the color and help any air bubbles disappear.

Apply the color coat in thin layers over the entire nail plate and cure under the UV/LED lamp for 60-90 seconds.

We recommend wiping excess Gel Polish off the neck of the bottle, so you only have a small amount left on the brush.

Apply the color coat to the center of the nail and gently push it up toward the cuticle. Place the brush in the middle of the applied layer on the nail, so you can always see how close to the cuticle you are applying your Gel Polish. Make sure to cover the entire nail and seal the free edge by applying a thin layer along the tip and slightly underneath the nail edge.

Keep the brush at a low angle against the nail to achieve an even application. Apply 2-3 layers depending on the pigmentation of the color, and repeat the application if necessary. The color coat will leave a sticky layer, which is essential for durability and should therefore not be removed.

Preparation
Roll the bottle between your hands to remove any air bubbles
Layer thickness
Thin layers over the entire nail plate
Number of coats
2–3 coats, depending on the color’s pigmentation
Top Coat
05

Top Coat

Required

Before applying top coat, roll the bottle between your hands to help remove any air bubbles.

Apply the top coat in the same way as Gel Polish. It is important to apply an even layer across the entire nail plate and seal the free edge, as well as the edges near the cuticle.

The top coat should extend beyond your Gel Polish to encapsulate the previously applied products and increase durability. If the previous products are not fully covered, they may start to lift from the nail. Cure the top coat for 60-90 seconds in the UV/LED lamp.

If you are using a no-wipe top coat, there is no need to wipe the nails with cleanser after curing, as it does not leave a sticky surface.

Daily

As the final step in your nail care routine, apply cuticle oil to your cuticles. Cuticle oil is important for keeping your cuticles moisturized. We recommend applying cuticle oil at least once a day to maintain healthy nails and cuticles. Gel Polish and other nail products can block your nails' natural oils, and a good nail oil can help restore the moisture balance. Dry cuticles can sometimes lead to minor sores.

Frequency
At least once a day
Purpose
Keeps cuticles moisturized and restores moisture balance
Important

It is also extremely important to avoid picking at your Gel Polish or trying to peel the product off your nail, as this can damage your natural nail. When Gel Polish is peeled off, layers of the natural nail may also be removed, which can result in thinner and more fragile nails. If the product starts to lift, we recommend removing it using one of our removal methods instead of picking it off.
