Black Gel Polish

Black Gel Polish – A timeless classic with endless possibilities

Black Gel Polish is a classic color that suits many occasions and looks. Wear it on its own for a classic finish, or use it as part of a more creative nail design. Here you’ll find black Gel Polish in several variations – from a deep, opaque black to effects like Cat Eye and reflective glitter.

Choose the black Gel Polish that suits you

When choosing black Gel Polish, consider the mood or effect you want to create. Our selection gives you different options for achieving exactly the look you prefer.

Which black Gel Polish is best?

The right black Gel Polish depends on your personal style and the design you want to create. Here are the different black Gel Polish shades, so you can easily find your favorite:

  • Pure Black · 71 is a classic, deep black Gel Polish that provides full coverage and a glossy finish. It’s ideal if you want an intense, solid black nail look.
  • Night Cat Eye · 333 gives your nails a special magnetic effect, where the light gathers into a stripe that moves as you move your hand. It adds depth to the nail.
  • Reflective Dark · 358 contains reflective glitter particles that light up and create a festive effect when the light hits them. It’s perfect for an evening out or whenever you want to add extra sparkle.

How to achieve even coverage with black Gel Polish

To achieve a smooth and uniform result with black Gel Polish, it’s important to apply it correctly. Here are some tips for getting even coverage:

  • Prepare the nail: Always start by preparing the nail thoroughly. File, push back the cuticles, and cleanse with Nailster Cleanser. Proper preparation helps the Gel Polish adhere well.
  • Apply thin layers: Apply Gel Polish in thin, even layers. This is especially important for dark colors like black. Thick layers can create an uneven result and make it harder for the lamp to cure the product all the way through.
  • Number of layers: Most black Gel Polish shades provide full coverage after 2 thin layers. Cure each layer for 60 seconds in an LED lamp before applying the next.
  • Apply evenly: Use the brush to apply the color all the way to the sides and toward the cuticle without touching the skin. This creates a sharp, clean result.
  • Finish with Top Coat: Once you have cured the final layer of color, finish with a Top Coat. It seals the color, gives a glossy finish, and protects against scratches and wear. Cure the Top Coat for 60 seconds.

Create effects with Cat Eye Gel Polish

Cat Eye Gel Polish is a special type of Gel Polish that contains metal particles. With a magnet, you can control these particles and create a light stripe on the nail that resembles a cat’s eye.

What is Cat Eye Gel Polish, and how do you use it?

Cat Eye Gel Polish creates an effect on the nail that shifts with the light. You can adjust the effect by holding a Cat Eye magnet over the wet product. Here’s how to do it:

  • Prepare the nail and apply Base Coat as usual. Cure in the lamp.
  • Apply a thin layer of black or dark Gel Polish as the base color (this is optional, but often gives a more intense Cat Eye effect). Cure in the lamp.
  • Apply a thin layer of Cat Eye Gel Polish. Do not cure it yet.
  • Hold your Cat Eye magnet 1-2 mm above the nail for 5-10 seconds. You’ll see the light stripe form.
  • When you’re happy with the effect, cure the nail for 60 seconds in an LED lamp.
  • Finish with your preferred Top Coat and cure again for 60 seconds.
