Polygel has a thick, mouldable consistency. This means you have plenty of time to shape the nail exactly as you want it before curing the product in the lamp. Polygel is often used for extensions because its firm consistency is easy to shape. The terms Polygel and Acrylic Gel are often used for the same or similar products. How to use Builder Gel and Polygel
To achieve a beautiful, long-lasting result with Builder Gel and Polygel, follow a few basic steps. Always start by preparing your natural nails. This includes pushing back the cuticles, gently buffing the nail plate, and removing dust and oils. Then apply a Base Coat to ensure good adhesion.
Once your Base Coat has cured, apply your Builder Gel or Polygel product in thin layers. Shape the nail with your brush and cure each layer in your UV/LED lamp. Repeat until you have the desired length and strength. After curing, file the nail into the desired shape and buff the surface. Finish with a Top Coat to give the nails a glossy finish and extra protection.
