Do you have the energy, drive and desire to help run an efficient e-commerce warehouse where we are constantly working to make things a little smarter, faster and better?
Nailster is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager who can become the Warehouse Manager’s right-hand person and help ensure efficient, structured and well-functioning warehouse operations at our warehouse in Hørning.
We are not just looking for someone who can keep track of the day’s tasks.
We are looking for someone with energy and a genuine spark, who naturally takes responsibility, leads by example and is motivated by creating flow, structure and improvements. Someone who notices when something can be done smarter – and does something about it.
Your role
As Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will have an important and very hands-on role in the day-to-day operations.
You will be the Warehouse Manager’s deputy and closest collaborator and must be able to take responsibility for warehouse operations when the Warehouse Manager is not present.
At the same time, it is important that you are not the type to lead from the sidelines. You must be visible in the daily operations, know the processes and be ready to step in yourself when needed.
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
Being the Warehouse Manager’s right-hand person and deputy
Planning, prioritising and coordinating the day-to-day operations
Ensuring that the day’s tasks, deadlines and targets are met
Allocating tasks and creating clear direction for the warehouse team
Ensuring an efficient flow from goods receipt to completed customer order
Following up on quality, productivity and efficiency
Identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
Working actively with lean, optimisation and smarter workflows
Ensuring a high standard of order, tidiness and cleanliness in the warehouse
Helping with the training and development of employees
Taking responsibility and making decisions in the day-to-day operations
Leading by example and taking part in the work yourself when the situation calls for it
How you think matters to us
We are always looking for ways to run our warehouse better.
That is why we are looking for someone who does not simply accept:
"That’s how we’ve always done it."
You should be keen to ask questions such as:
Can we do this faster?
Can we remove an unnecessary step?
Why does this bottleneck occur?
How do we create a better flow?
How do we ensure that the warehouse always looks tidy and organised?
You do not need to have extensive training in lean or logistics, but you do need to have the interest and mindset to continuously look for improvements.
We imagine that you
Have high energy, natural drive and a desire to take responsibility.
You are the type of person who spots what is missing and does not necessarily wait for someone to tell you what the next task is.
We particularly value that you:
Have natural leadership qualities and are confident taking responsibility
Can bring energy and direction to the team
Are structured and able to see the bigger picture
Care about order, structure and a well-functioning workplace
Are curious about how processes can be optimised
Are clear and respectful in your communication
Can motivate people and get a team working towards the same goal
Keep a clear overview when the pace is high
Are solution-oriented and proactive
Are reliable and have a strong work ethic
Are ready to roll up your sleeves and pitch in yourself
Experience from warehouse, logistics, e-commerce, production or another operations-oriented business would be an advantage.
However, the most important thing is your mindset: You must be motivated by running an efficient operation and take satisfaction in seeing things work smoothly.
Life at Nailster

There can be a big difference between an ordinary day and, for example, Black Friday, the Christmas shopping period or other major campaign periods.
That is why you need to thrive in a workday where quick decisions sometimes need to be made, resources reallocated and solutions found along the way.
In return, you will also have the opportunity to genuinely influence how we run our warehouse and help develop our processes as the company grows.

A central role with real influence on day-to-day warehouse operations
The role of the Warehouse Manager’s right-hand person and deputy
The opportunity to make your mark on workflows, structure and processes
