Create yellow designs with Gel Polish
Creating yellow nails with different designs at home is both fun and creative. It all starts with the right preparation and the right products.
How do you create yellow nails with designs?
Creating a yellow nail design starts with preparing your natural nails. File them into shape, gently push back the cuticles, and cleanse the nail plate with a Cleanser. Then follow these steps:
- Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and cure for 60 seconds in a UV/LED lamp.
- Apply a thin layer of yellow Gel Polish and cure for 60 seconds. Repeat for more coverage.
- Create your design. Use a liner brush for thin lines, a dotting tool for dots, or a Nail Art sponge for ombré effects. If you want to use chrome powder, rub it onto a cured layer of No-Wipe Top Coat and seal with another layer of Top Coat.
- Cure each layer of Gel Polish and each design element for 60 seconds.
- Finish with a thin layer of Top Coat and cure for 60 seconds.
- Remove the tacky layer with Cleanser.

Popular yellow shades and designs
Yellow is a versatile colour that suits many occasions and trends. Here you can learn more about the most popular yellow looks.
What are butter yellow nails?
Butter yellow is a popular nail trend. It is a soft, buttery, creamy light yellow shade with an understated finish. The shade is popular because it adds a fresh yet understated look that works well for both everyday wear and special occasions. It is easy to style, complements many skin tones, and is a beautiful shade for spring and summer.
Which yellow nail designs are popular?
In addition to the classic butter yellow, there are many other popular yellow nail designs to explore:
-
Floral designs: Small daisies, sunflowers, or abstract floral patterns are a popular classic. Use yellow shades such as Butter Yellow · 379 or Yellow Bloom · 238 as a base or for the flowers themselves.
-
Lemon themes: Fresh lemons and lemon slices create a fun and summery look. Choose a bright yellow such as Lemon Breeze · 228 and combine it with green shades for leaves.
-
French and Chrome: A yellow French Manicure gives a modern twist to a classic, especially with a butter yellow tip. For a more festive look, you can add Chrome powder in gold or silver on top of a yellow base.
-
Pastel and dots: A pastel yellow base with colourful dots creates a playful, effortless look that is ideal for spring and Easter.
