How to create glitter nails with Gel Polish
Creating glitter nails with Gel Polish is very similar to a regular Gel Polish application. The key is thin layers and thorough curing.
How do you create glitter nails with Gel Polish?
Start by preparing the nail and applying a thin layer of Base Coat, then cure it in a UV lamp. Next, apply a thin, even layer of your glitter Gel Polish. If you want a more intense color or more coverage, you can apply a second thin layer and cure again. Always finish with a layer of Top Coat to seal the design and give it a glossy finish. Cure the Top Coat and, if needed, wipe off the sticky layer with Cleanser.
How do you create glitter French nails?
To create a Glitter French Look, start by preparing the nail and applying Base Coat. Then apply your preferred color to the entire nail or create a nude base, curing each layer. Once the base is ready, take a thin Nail Art brush or a Liner brush and apply glitter Gel Polish along the tip of the nail. You can create a crisp line or gently fade the glitter towards the nail plate for a softer transition. Cure the glitter and finish with Top Coat.
Glitter nails for special occasions
Glitter nails are a popular choice for festive events and holidays. They add a little extra sparkle and suit the mood of the season beautifully.
Which glitter nails are popular for Christmas and New Year’s?
For Christmas and New Year’s, classic colors such as red, green, gold, and silver are often popular. You can find looks such as Christmas Red, Green Holiday Charm, or Snowy Blues in our selection. Many also choose to combine different glitter colors to create a festive design. Metallic shades and Holographic Glitter are also favorites that add a festive touch during the colder months.
Removing glitter Gel Polish
Removing glitter Gel Polish often requires a little extra patience compared to regular Gel Polish, as the glitter particles can be more stubborn.
How do you remove glitter Gel Polish?
When removing glitter Gel Polish, start by thoroughly filing the Top Coat off the surface. You can use a regular nail file or an electric nail file to make the process easier. Be careful not to file down into the natural nail. Once you have broken the seal of the Top Coat, wrap the nails with Gel Remover and let them soak for longer than with traditional Gel Polish – typically 15-20 minutes or longer. Gently scrape off the dissolved Gel Polish with a wooden cuticle stick.
The difference between glitter and Cat Eye nails
Although both glitter and Cat Eye create a special effect on the nails, they are created in different ways.
What is the difference between glitter and Cat Eye nails?
Glitter nails are created with Gel Polish that contains visible glitter particles, giving the nails a shiny, reflective surface. Cat Eye nails, on the other hand, are created with a special Gel Polish that contains magnetic particles. When you hold a Cat Eye magnet over the wet Gel Polish, the particles are drawn together and create an effect that resembles a cat’s eye. The two effects can also be combined, as you can see in our Cat Eye Glitter Look, where you get both glitter and the magnetic effect in one look.
