Nej man kan ikke lave opfyldning af gellak – produktet skal fjernes helt, hvorefter en nyt sæt kan påføres. Det er kun med acryl eller gelénegle, at man kan lave opfyldning.
Det kan skyldes, at der er kommet LED-lys på din pensel, når du har været ved at hærde din gellak i UV-lampen. Det kan resultere i at nogle af hårene er hærdet sammen, og kan derfor lave riller i din gellak. Det kan også skyldes, at du har lavet eller opbevaret dem i direkte sollys, hvilket kan være med til at størkne dem og være med til at lave riller.
Lifting er når gellak løfter sig fra neglepladen, og ikke sidder fast nede ved neglebåndene. For at undgå lifting er det vigtigt, at du har udført step 1 prepping (forberedelse) af dine negle. Forberedelsen er med til at sikre, at farverne kan hæfte til neglens overflade, så man undgår lifts. Du kan med fordel også anvende en Primer inden brug af Base Coat for yderligere at minimere risikoen for lifts.
Gellak skal typisk hærde 1-2 minutter under en UV/LED-lampe. Det er vigtigt at understrege at gellak kommer i rigtig mange farver, og jo mere pigment der er i farven – jo mere skal farven hærde. Sorte, hvide og mørke farver indeholder rigtigt meget pigment, og man med fordel hærdes lidt længere tid.
Det er fordi din gellak ikke har kontakt til din negleplade. I de fleste tilfælde er det fordi du ikke har udført step 1 prepping (forberedelse) af dine negle ordentligt. Vær derfor ekstra grundig og vær tålmodig - det kræver noget øvelse af få det ønskede resultat og holdbarhed.
