Step by Step
1. Clip off the gemstone
The first thing you need to do is remove the gemstone from your nail. You can do this in several ways.
To gently remove gemstones from your nail, you can try using your cuticle scissors to carefully clip them off. Place the tip of the cuticle scissors under the gemstone and clip gently until the stone loosens and comes off. Be careful not to damage your natural nail or the product underneath.
2. File off the gemstone
If the gemstone is firmly attached, you can use a nail file or our Electric Nail File to gently file around the edges. This can help loosen the gemstone if you have applied a thick layer of Top Coat, making it easier to file off or remove.
3. Remove residue from the surface
Once the gemstone has been removed, there may be some unevenness left from the Top Coat used to secure it. To smooth the surface, use a 180 or 220 grit file, depending on how much Top Coat remains on the nail. Once you have filed away the bulk of the Top Coat, you can use a buffer to even out the surface and remove any remaining product residue.
4. Apply Top Coat
If you'd like to keep your manicure as it is, just without the gemstones, apply a layer of Top Coat to give the nail a beautiful, smooth finish. Cure your Top Coat in our UV/LED lamp for 60-90 seconds. You can also remove the entire design if you'd like to create a new look. You can find all our removal videos in our guide section.
