The steps are the same when applying any of our Powders. In this guide, we’ll focus on applying our Pearl Powder, but the application process is the same whether you’re using Unicorn Powder, Clear Powder, Pearl Powder, or Chrome on your nails. We’ll get straight into applying Powders, so if you haven’t applied your base coat yet, you can follow one of our other guides first.
Products used in this guide:
1. Apply your Top Coat
Once you’ve created the base you want to apply Powders on top of, apply Top Coat. Apply it in the same way as your Base Coat and Gel Polish. However, our Top Coat does not leave a sticky layer behind.
Your Top Coat should also cure under our UV/LED Lamp for 90 seconds.
2. Apply the powder
Once you have cured your Top Coat, apply Pearl Powder using the included powder brush. Make sure to rub the product evenly across the entire nail. You don’t need to worry about the surrounding skin, as our Pearl Powder only adheres once you apply Top Coat on top, so any excess product can simply be washed away.
We recommend leaving the tip of the nail free of Pearl Powder, just as you did with your other products. This leaves an area of the nail for your Top Coat to adhere to. If any powder gets onto the tip of the nail, you can use a 400-grit nail file to gently remove it from the tip.
Once you’re happy with your Pearl Powder application, it’s time to apply a final layer of Top Coat.
3. Apply your Top Coat
Once you have applied the powder, finish with a layer of Top Coat. Apply it in the same way as your Base Coat and Gel Polish. It is important to be thorough when sealing the free edge of the nail with your Top Coat. This helps your powder last longer without flaking off. Once you have applied your Top Coat, cure it for 90 seconds in our UV/LED lamp.
If you find that your Powders flake off quickly, it may be because the Top Coat seal wears down through everyday wear. To help prevent this, you can apply an extra layer of Top Coat.
Now you have created beautiful, glossy nails all by yourself! We recommend applying a little nail oil around the cuticles, and then your nails are ready.
