Find the right formula for your nail goals

Explore different formulas to help you achieve the results you want, from classic shades to strengthening builder gel colors. Each product is designed for a specific purpose, whether you want to add strength, extend your nails or simply apply a beautiful shade.

What types of gel colors can you get for home nails?

There are several types of gel colors available depending on the finish and structure you want to build. Our collection includes different products to help you achieve your goals:

  • Gel Polish: Traditional highly pigmented colours that you apply over a Base Coat and finish with a Top Coat.
  • Builder Gel: Thicker gel in beautiful shades like pink, nude or milky white that adds strength and structure while colouring the nail.
  • Rubber Base: Flexible base gel with colour that is ideal for adding strength to thin or flexible natural nails.
  • Polygel: A firm, clay-like gel that is excellent for building strong extensions and nail structures.

What is the difference between builder gel and gel polish colors?

The main difference between builder gel and gel polish colors is their thickness and purpose. Gel Polish is purely used to add colour to the nail and needs a separate base and top coat. It is relatively thin and easy to apply. Builder Gel has a much thicker consistency and is used to strengthen, build up or extend the nail, while also offering a subtle colour.

Can you use colored builder gel instead of Gel Polish?

Yes, you can easily use colored builder gel on its own to get a beautiful and natural look. Many of our builder gels come in delicate pink, milky white and nude shades. You can apply the gel, shape it, cure it and finish with a Top Coat for a quick and strong manicure without needing a separate Gel Polish colour.

What are rubber base colors used for?

Rubber base colors are flexible base coats that contain soft colour pigments. They are designed for weak, bendy or brittle nails because the Rubber Base bends with the natural nail instead of cracking. You can use these colours to build a strong foundation and get a beautiful, natural tone on your nails at the same time.

Which holds up better for extensions: polygel colors or builder gel?

Both products are great for extensions, but they behave differently. Polygel colors have a firm, paste-like consistency that does not run, which gives you plenty of time to shape the extension using a brush and a tool. Builder Gel has a self-levelling, liquid consistency. It is excellent for creating a smooth surface and building medium-length extensions, whereas Polygel is often preferred for longer extensions.

How many layers of Gel Polish should you apply?

To get a full and even opacity, we recommend applying 2 layers of Gel Polish. Always apply thin layers to ensure that the gel colors cure completely in the lamp. If you apply the polish too thickly, the light from the UV or LED lamp cannot reach the bottom of the layer, which can cause the product to lift or wrinkle.

Why does Gel Polish wrinkle or bubble after curing?

If your gel colors wrinkle or bubble, it is usually because the layer was applied too thickly or did not cure long enough. Highly pigmented shades, like dark colours or white, require thin application because the pigment can block the light from the lamp. Ensure you apply thin coats and cure each layer for 60 seconds under your LED lamp.
