Can I use Nailster gelpolish even if I bite my nails?

Yes, you can use our products even if you bite your nails. Just ensure the products do not come into contact with the skin during application. Depending on how your nails look, different methods may be best for you. You can always write to our customer service if you are in doubt.

Why is prep important and what is good prep?

Prep/preparation of the nails is very important for a durable and beautiful result. We often find that the reason our customers experience short durability is because their prep was not thorough enough.

It is important to follow all our steps in our guide video.

How do I remove my products?

We have different methods for removing products, and the removal varies depending on which product you have on your nails and your preferences.

See all our removal methods in our guide universe. You can use our Magic Remover, Soak-off method, or our Electric Nail File. It is important to use one of the mentioned methods to ensure correct and gentle removal.

Why does my gel polish brush leave streaks in my gel polish?

Streaks can appear in your gel polish if your nails have not been thoroughly cleaned before application. It can also be due to the application method. It is important to keep the brush as parallel to the nail as possible so as not to pull all the gel polish off the nail again.

Streaks can also occur if your brush has been in close contact with UV-LED light, either while applying the product or because it was not stored correctly in terms of placement or temperature. If your brush starts to become stiff in the hairs, it will start to make streaks as the hairs harden.

Do I need to take a break so my nails can breathe?

No, you don't need to take a break with the products. Your nails are made of dead keratin layers; they don't breathe, so it's not necessary to take a break between removing and applying Nailster products. As long as you follow our instructions, you won't damage your nails, and you can use the products as often as you want.

Why do I need to file the surface of my natural nail before applying my products?

This is because we all have an oily layer on top of our nails, and products don't adhere to an oily layer. You need to use your buffer to remove the top oily layer so that the product can adhere to the nail plate and ensure a durable result. You can see our video guide here for a thorough prep.

What is the difference between polygel, builder gel, and gel polish?

Polygel is a mix of gel and acrylic used to make a long extension of the nails or strengthen the natural nail.

Builder gel is used for a short extension or to strengthen your natural nail.

Gel polish can be used both on top of extensions or after the base coat on your natural nail.

Can I refill gel polish?

You cannot refill gel polish alone. However, if you have builder gel or polygel underneath, you can file off your gel polish and do a refill.

How do I strengthen my nails?

If you want to strengthen your natural nail, you can advantageously use our builder gel or rubber base, which strengthens the nail.

How do I extend my nails?

You can extend your nails with tips, builder gel, or polygel. Builder gel can make a small extension and is used with universal templates. Polygel can make a longer extension using universal templates or dual forms. Tips extend nails using nail glue or gel glue. You can advantageously watch our guide videos to get a broader understanding.

Colors should also be purchased separately.

How long should your products cure?

All our products should primarily cure for 60 seconds under a UV/LED lamp, including base coat, builder gel, gel polish, and top coat. Our polygel should cure for 90 seconds.

Why is my gel polish not the same color as on the website?

It can be difficult to show a 100% accurate picture of our gel polish colors. This is because color settings vary on all computers depending on settings. Additionally, colors change depending on the light they are viewed in.

If you have received a color that you feel does not meet your expectations, you can use our color guarantee.

Why does my product start to bubble?

Gel polish should be applied in thin layers. If the product is applied too thickly, it will only cure on the surface, and the remaining gel polish will evaporate and rise to the surface, which can create bubbles.

Why does my gel polish lift from the tip of the nail?

This happens if you forgot to seal the nail tip when applying all the products. This step is also very important for durability.

Why aren't my products curing?

If you apply too thick layers, your products won't cure. We recommend applying four paper thin layers instead of two thick ones. All our products leave a sticky layer to allow the next product you apply to adhere.

Why does my gel polish wrinkle after curing?

If your gel polish contracts and wrinkles, it is because too thick layers have been applied. We recommend applying four paper thin layers instead of two thick layers. If the products are applied too thickly, they will not cure thoroughly, and uncured product may remain on the nail plate.

Why can I peel off my gelpolish?

If you can peel off your products, it is typically because a thorough prep and cleaning of the nail plate has not been done. This is essential to achieve a long-lasting result. You can read more about lifting in our nail theory and see our application guide. Therefore, be extra thorough and patient - it takes practice to achieve the desired result and durability.

Why is my brush hard?

Your brush becomes hard because it has been exposed to changing temperatures, such as in a bathroom. Additionally, gel polish products cure when exposed to UV, so it is important to store the products in the dark and keep them away from the UV/LED lamp and sunlight. Your products can start the curing process within the first 5 seconds if exposed to UV.

Why do I experience a burning sensation on my nails during curing?

Some people may experience a burning sensation when curing the products. This can be due to your natural nail being thin or having file damage. It can also be because the product is applied in a thick layer, causing it to cure more intensely. If you experience the burning sensation, just take your hand out of the lamp until the heat subsides, then put your hand back in and finish the curing time.
